February 18th meeting, Rockhampton showground's

a large amount of hype about the CGR team was in the air this week, after
the Morning Bulletin newspaper ran a half page colour print about Rebecca
Stephenson and the rush she gets from racing...
but it wasn't all just hype as our team stood up to the challenge in the
fender's and came in 1st 2nd & 3rd in the feature race...

Adam Stephenson made his way back to the track this weekend after his
Roll-over a few months ago, No post crash jitters were apparent as he drove
his Torana in the first heat...but a miss judged corner exit line caused him
to tag the concrete wall bending an axle and the steering rack, wich made
him park it back on the trailer.

January the 21st, Rockhampton showground's

This was not a good night for Team CGR with two of our cars
crashing out in the first heat with an un-canny accident, Gareth Keith once
again in Car #53 was passing on the outside line when Rebecca Stephenson Car
# 03 had a uncomon lose resulting in her shooting up the track toward the
fence, slamming into the side of Gareth in car #53 pushing him into the
concrete wall. Both cars suffered mayjor damage to suspension and steering
putting them both out for the rest of the night

- see video section for crash vision-

Josh Keene in Car #16 had engine troubles early on but manage to get through
the rest of the night finishing 4th in the feature race and was the Only CGR
car to complete the nights events! Good Job JOSH!

December 31st, Rockhampton showground's

New years eve meeting at the rocky showgrounds saw a larger than
expected crowd swarm to catch all the on track action.

the night began well for the CGR team until the Second Heat, Gareth Keith
Was Making a passing move around the outside when one of the cars had a lose
hitting the #53 Falcon in the rear and putting it in an un controlled slide
through turns 2 and 3 resulting in a fairly hard "meet and greet" with the
concrete wall...causing major amounts of damage to the Falcon...It was
repaired enough to get it back out on the track to finish the night and
gather some more points. thanks to our team manager and Co-Driver Joel
Stephenson

Super Stockers

In the Super Stocker QLD title on the same night all our local hopefuls lined up with other drivers from all over the state, for the 50 lap feature race.

Craig Torr (Rockhampton) was one of our local contenders but his hard charging pace was brought to an end after a blown tyre, resulting in Torr watching the remainder of the race from the infield.

For the majority of the race, local Rockhampton Driver Danny Lennon was out in front with a substantial lead until engine failure destroyed his chances with only about 10 laps remaining.

The final placings were

1st - Jason Boss - Sarina
